KEEP IT REAL!

Needs are modest, simple satisfactions that don’t require a major push in the market. What I mean here is, when your stomach is growling I don’t have to play a big AD featuring Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver to make you realize you are hurgry.

Wants, on the other hand, are complex satisfactions that are subjective and irrational. Often, it is the sweet spot where demand can be generated. This is where I tell you a story that the Airtag, the new iMac are going to make your life efficient!

What makes a great story?

  • Great stories are true
  • They appeal to our senses
  • They are subtle
  • They follow the worldview
  • They don’t contradict themselves

So before you tell a story about your product to your customer ask yourself:

  1. What is the story?
  2. Will people who you aim to tell this story, going to believe it?
  3. Is it true?
